Delivery Driver

Job status:  Part-time
Hours:  25 hours per week
Location:  3313 Mechanicsville Turnpike

Strange’s has a position opening for a part time Delivery Driver at the Mechanicsville location.

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the prompt delivery of all assigned goods/orders while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor that supports company morale.

Applicants must be able to provide a valid drivers license and have +points driving record. Experience driving a delivery van preferred.

Scheduling : 25-27 hrs. a week / 8 – 5 PM 3 days a week- open availability preferred

*Additional hours during Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas holidays

• Maintains cleanliness of delivery vehicles
• Completes daily tasks assigned by management
• Communicates with management on the status of all deliveries
• Completes routes and deliveries promptly
• Loads and unloads delivery vehicles in a timely manner
• Updates the system according to delivery completion
• Organizes, cleans, and maintains safety of the garage/warehouse space
• Assists with processing floral shipments (including cleaning buckets)
• Checks delivery vehicle daily to ensure safe transportation

Floral Customer Service Associate

Job status:  Part-time
Hours:  25-28 hours per week
Location:  3313 Mechanicsville Turnpike

Strange’s has a position opening for a part time floral customer service associate at the Mechanicsville location. The Floral Customer Service Associate is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service per company standards and receiving/processing sales efficiently through POS systems. The essential candidate has outstanding customer service skills and maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Pay rate to be discussed during the interview process.

Scheduling:  Rotating A/B Schedule as follows:

A Schedule: Mon, Wed. Thur 8-5 PM

B Schedule: Wed, Thur, Sat 8-5 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
• Greets and assists customers with their floral selections and shopping experience
• Assists in the preparation of sales displays
• Answers phones and completes POS transactions
• Takes customer orders both over the phone and in store
• Presents the customer with product information
• Wraps bouquets and gift baskets
• Stocks shelves and prices product
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Floral Designer

Job status:  Part-time
Hours:  25-27 hours per week
Location:  3313 Mechanicsville Turnpike

Strange’s is seeking part time Floral Designer for our Mechanicsville location.  The Floral Designer is responsible for arranging live and artificial floral arrangements for daily orders and events such as holidays, anniversaries, weddings, socials, and funerals, in a timely manner in order to meet particular order deadlines and company standards.

**Previous floral industry experience required.

Job Competencies:

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Assists in processing flowers when needed
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly to meet time deadlines and quality standards
• Knowledge of flower varieties and design techniques

Job Responsibilities:

• Designs floral arrangements and/or other items to fill customer orders
• Ensures that the cooler is clean and filled on a regular basis
• Maintains cleanliness of work area
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management
