Store Manager

Job status:  Management
Hours:  40-47 hours per week
Location:  3313 Mechanicsville Turnpike

We’re seeking a Store Manager for the Mechanicsville turnpike location. The Store Manager is responsible for managing store activities concerned with production, pricing, sales, and delivery of floral division products as well as completing projects involving productivity and process management.

  • Continuously evaluate, design, execute, and measure business processes to ensure profitability
  • Identify store challenges via activity reports and other performance data to improve productivity; and define the scope of activities required to address those issues
  • Formally recommend operation alternatives to business executives and appropriately execute approved recommendations.
  • Provide training and supervision in the use of new system and process models
  • Actively lead, coach, direct and develop supervisory personnel within the sales, production, and delivery teams
  • Monitor accuracy of purchase orders, recipes, and inventory processes as well as monthly closing processes
  • Calculate SRP (suggested retail pricing)
  • Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels
  • Ensure building/premise safety for customers and staff
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by executive management

Assistant Store Manager

Job status:  Management
Hours:  40-47 hours per week
Location:  3313 Mechanicsville Turnpike

We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the Mechanicsville turnpike location. The Assistant Store Manager is the primary administrative support to the store and reports to the Store Manager. This team member is responsible for the purchasing, receiving, and inventory of all retail and design supply product.

  • Purchases fresh flowers, sales and design supplies, and retail giftware
  • Acts as a keyholder for the store
  • Frequently communicates with vendors/suppliers
  • Acts as a role model in placing sales orders and is the main POC for special orders
  • Coordinates and schedules team level meetings per managements guidance
  • Consistently monitors inventory levels
  • Spearheads department seminars and special events
  • Processes all paperwork for product inventory promptly (i.e. purchase orders, claims, etc.)
  • Investigates and determines what/how/why material came in incorrectly or damaged
  • Processes special requests/orders for weddings and special events
  • Works with the Store Manager to plan and execute Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas ops
  • Develops seasonal floral collections alongside the Design Team Manager
  • Works with the Store Manager and team leads to ensure website is kept accurate
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by department management
