Delivery Department Team Lead

Job status:  Full-time
Hours:  40-45 hours per week
Location:  Mechanicsville VA 23223

The Delivery Team Lead oversees and executes the delivery of goods to customers by coaching and leading a team of delivery drivers.

  • Supervises cleanliness of delivery vehicles and plans routine maintenance
  • Accomplishes objectives by educating, assigning, scheduling and coaching delivery staff
  • Assigns and manages routes and deliveries at appropriate level to ensure timely dispatch/delivery
  • Coordinates special deliveries with design staff
  • Communicates with peer management on seasonal delivery coverage
  • Ensures drivers log to delivery routes properly
  • Maintains a safe and secure working environment
  • Assists in the training of drivers during holidays and special events
  • Works with the Site Operations Manager to recruit contract drivers during Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day
  • Keeps the garage area neat and organized alongside the receiver
  • Handles any issues involving delivery vehicles (annual maintenance, towing etc.)
  • Participates in snow removal, trash removal, and product shipments/receivables
  • Suggests new ways to improve delivery processes and procedures to increase efficiency and work performance
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Floral Customer Service Associate

Job status:  Full-time
Hours:  40 hours per week
Location:  3313 Mechanicsville Turnpike

Strange’s has a position opening for a full-time floral customer service associate at the Mechanicsville location. The Floral Customer Service Associate is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service per company standards and receiving/processing sales efficiently through POS systems. The essential candidate has outstanding customer service skills and maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Pay rate to be discussed during the interview process.

Scheduling:  *5 days/week @ 8 hours a day 8-5 PM

*must be available to work Saturdays

Job Responsibilities

  • Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
  • Greets and assists customers with their floral selections and shopping experience
  • Assists in the preparation of sales displays
  • Answers phones and completes POS transactions
  • Takes customer orders both over the phone and in store
  • Presents the customer with product information
  • Wraps bouquets and gift baskets
  • Stocks shelves and prices product
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
