Strange’s has a position opening for full time Delivery Driver at the short pump location.

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the prompt delivery of all assigned goods/orders while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor that supports company morale.

Applicants must be able to provide a valid drivers license and have +points driving record. Experience driving a delivery van preferred.

Scheduling : 40 hrs a week / 8 – 5 PM Tuesday-Saturday

*Additional hours during Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas holidays

• Maintains cleanliness of delivery vehicles
• Completes daily tasks assigned by management
• Communicates with management on the status of all deliveries
• Completes routes and deliveries promptly
• Loads and unloads delivery vehicles in a timely manner
• Updates the system according to delivery completion
• Organizes, cleans, and maintains safety of the garage/warehouse space
• Assists with processing floral shipments (including cleaning buckets)
• Checks delivery vehicle daily to ensure safe transportation

Greenhouse Receiver

Job status:  Full-time
Hours:  40 hours per week
Location:  Short Pump, VA 23233

Strange’s has a position opening for a full time Greenhouse Receiver. The Greenhouse Receiver is responsible for receiving and distributing all plant product (annuals, tropicals, herbs, vegetables and houseplants) in the greenhouse department. This individual is also responsible for all plant product quality control.

Pay rate to be discussed during the interview process.

Scheduling: Applicants must be able to work at least 1 weekend day.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists customers and presents them with product information
• Communicates frequently with management regarding possible greenhouse product issues such as, disease or pest problems
• Works with the warehouse supervisor and greenhouse buyer to ensure timely processing of trucks
• Works with the greenhouse buyer to ensure tags are prepared appropriately
• Maintains cleanliness of greenhouse area – specifically loading areas
• Assists in watering, fertilizing and, restocking greenhouse inventory when needed
• Performs other tasks as assigned by management

**This is a very active position and requires working in a greenhouse environment for up to 8 hours at a time as well as lifting up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis.

Floral Customer Service Associate

Strange’s has a position opening for a full-time floral customer service associate at the Mechanicsville location. The Floral Customer Service Associate is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service per company standards and receiving/processing sales efficiently through POS systems. The essential candidate has outstanding customer service skills and maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Pay rate to be discussed during the interview process.

Scheduling:  *5 days/week @ 8 hours a day 8-5 PM

*must be available to work Saturdays

Job Responsibilities

• Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
• Greets and assists customers with their floral selections and shopping experience
• Assists in the preparation of sales displays
• Answers phones and completes POS transactions
• Takes customer orders both over the phone and in store
• Presents the customer with product information
• Wraps bouquets and gift baskets
• Stocks shelves and prices product
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management
